Financing for small and medium-sized businesses

Small and medium-sized companies, which generally only deal with financing issues when there is a concrete reason to do so, are less familiar with the options and processes. Entrepreneurs and management are often too busy with day-to-day business and corporate strategy issues for that.

With this book, which brings together contributions from authors with practical experience, we would like to help medium-sized companies find access to alternative forms of financing and benefit from the wide range of offerings.

The focus in this publication is on financing that can be realized with equity, mezzanine and loan investors. In many cases, a mix of funds from investors and banks can provide a large financing framework at attractive conditions.
