Succession arranged in 10 months!
An electronics entrepreneur was approached by his tax advisor about the fact that the succession had to be tackled. Portus took over the mandate.
First we quickly familiarized ourselves with the industry and analyzed the company. The exposé to address interested parties was prepared within 4 weeks. In addition, documents about the company, such as annual financial statements, product range, machinery list, employee structure, etc. were compiled. A company valuation followed. On this basis, it was possible to set realistic sales targets in terms of time and money.
Through direct contact via the Portus network as well as anonymous advertisements in industry magazines and Internet portals, more than 30 interested parties were found during the campaign. We then checked these for their professional and financial potential and presented seven qualified successor candidates to our client. One of our employees accompanied and moderated the discussions between the entrepreneur and the potential buyers.
In this case, the sales process lasted about 10 months. We attached great importance to a very close cooperation with the tax consultant and the bank of the company, which also provided part of the financing. To ensure that employees and customers in particular are not disturbed by the sales process, all parties involved were obliged to maintain absolute confidentiality.
